Wednesday, March 1st: Beer, Cheese & Chocolate Dinner @ Throwback Brewery

From: 6:30 to 9:00 PM.

Join us for an intimate and memorable evening featuring five mouth-watering courses where chocolate and local, artisan cheeses are the star! This dinner is the evolution of the Chocolate, Cheese and Beer pairing event that we’ve traditionally hosted during Portsmouth Beer Week over the last five years. Each course will be expertly paired with our hand crafted Throwback beer. Every year this event has sold out, so get your tickets today!

Amuse Bouche
Triple Crème Kunik Cheese from Nettle Meadow Farm (NY) washed in our El Chupbrewcabra Mexican Porter, served with house-made seeded crackers and mustard. Paired with: Barrel-aged Honey Oatmeal Stout- limited edition beer. Smooth and roasty with light whiskey notes.

First Course
House-made Dark Cocoa Spaghetti with fresh shaved Gouda. Paired with: Hoppy Oat Lucky – Oat IPA- Our version of a ‘New England IPA” – Fruit-forward and hazy.

Second Course
Our own Cheddarwurst crafted from Jasper Hill Vault 5 Cheddar, served on house-made Chocolate Potato Roll with Hank’s Pale Ale Cheddar Sauce, House Mustard, and our Kraut. Paired with: Dippity Do- American Brown Ale- Caramel and coffee notes are prominent in this American-Style Brown and Love Me Long Time Pilsener- a hop-forward pilsener that is crisp, light, & refreshing.

Third Course
Farmhouse Chalet Fondue with Roasted Cauliflower, Roasted Carrots, Cocoa Pretzel Rods, and Local Venison for dipping. Paired with: Donkey-Hoté – Double IPA– Big citrus aroma with just enough malt to balance the abundance of hops.

Dessert
‘Bleu Cheese-cake’ made with creamy Jasper Hill Farm Bayley Hazen Bleu, with Bittersweet Cocoa Crust and Fig Chutney. Paired with Vanilla Irish Stout – Dry Stout – A wonderfully vanilla aroma, super creamy, notes of coffee when paired with the cheese.

NOTE – The pre-tax and gratuity price for this event is $44. For ticket sale purposes and customer convenience, we’ve made it inclusive of the 9% required NH meals tax and also gratuity for our amazing staff.
